1. Agreement
By using www.freehosting.nz or any freehosting.nz subdomain or tool, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. Sign-in and email accounts are also subject to the mailme.nz Terms where you use mailme.
2. What freehosting.nz is
freehosting.nz is a small, evolving set of independent web tools (for example energy tracking, budgeting, car market data, site name requests, wiki, git hosting, demos and experiments). Features, availability and free tiers may change.
3. Accounts and access
- Some tools require a mailme.nz sign-in. You must keep those credentials secure.
- You are responsible for activity under your account on each tool.
- We may refuse, suspend or remove access for abuse, security risk, or breach of these Terms.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law or infringe others’ rights
- attack, overload or disrupt our services or other users
- spam, phish, or distribute malware
- attempt to access other people’s private data
- use free resources in a way that unfairly degrades the platform for everyone (cryptomining, open proxies, mass scraping where prohibited, etc.)
- misrepresent affiliation with freehosting.nz
5. Your content
You keep ownership of content you upload. You grant us permission to host and process it to run the tool. You must have the rights to anything you post. Public tools (wiki, public git, public dashboards) may be visible to others — publish carefully.
6. Free hosting / your own site
If you request a freehosting.nz subdomain or site:
- approval is discretionary and may be withdrawn for abuse or inactivity
- you must keep your site lawful and not use it to harm others
- we may suspend DNS or hosting that threatens the platform or other users
7. No warranty
Tools are provided “as is”. We do not guarantee continuous availability, accuracy of third-party or crowdsourced data (for example market or energy comparisons), or fitness for a particular commercial purpose. Do not rely on demos as financial, legal or engineering advice.
8. Liability
To the extent permitted by New Zealand law (including the Consumer Guarantees Act where it applies and cannot be contracted out of for consumers), we exclude liability for indirect or consequential loss. Where liability can be limited, our total liability for a claim is limited to NZD $50.
9. Changes and termination
We may change or retire tools with reasonable notice where practical. We may update these Terms; the date above will change. We may terminate access for breach. You may stop using the services at any time.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by New Zealand law.
